General Information
· Confident Couture was created with the help of the Christina Boulton (founder), Mrs. Kathleen Evans, Mrs. Yonette Martin, Ms. Alexis Gatson, Rodrigues Gilkey, and Raynisha Owens in July 2009.
· This organization was established on November 2, 2009, and hails as Austin Peay State University’s first modeling group.
· The purpose of this organization is to motivate students to stay in school, provide an outlet for their creativity, gain confidence in all aspects of life, and to be “THE STANDARD” for all things fashion at APSU.
· Our technique emphasis is on theatrical modeling, couture modeling,& print modeling. Contrary to modeling sterotype, we do not focus on size, height, or race; but we focus on confidence, public presentation, and skill.
· Our Spring 2010 activities consisted of The "Circus of Couture" Fashion Show, Confidence Seminar Series, and CC Mentor Program.
·Our Motto is "Where CONFIDENCE is displayed ON & OFF the Runway".
